Steinhof is a dynamically growing manufacturer of brake pads. We have been operating on the Polish and foreign markets for more than 66 years.
Experience, industry knowledge and professionalism have allowed us to create a range of brake pads for trucks and to join the group of the largest manufacturers in the country. Our offer includes more than 60 references of brake pads for trucks and buses.
Our priority is the safety of users. Every part, whether a tow bar or a brake pad, is subject to strict inspection at every stage of production. The Steinhof quality philosophy combines tradition with innovation, guaranteeing that our products match the highest-quality original parts used for first assembly.

Certificates and type approvals
Steinhof products hold the required certificates and type approvals issued by the British body VCA (Vehicle Certification Agency) as well as a Polish certificate issued by PIMOT (the Automotive Industrial Institute)
Applying a process-based approach to production, the company has implemented and maintains a Quality Management System compliant with the ISO 9001:2015 standard. Quality is additionally supervised by the certification body GEM CERT.

Products with a type-approval marking are easy to identify thanks to a clear inspection mark: a circle with the letter „E” and the country number, plus a string of digits and letters starting with „90R”. This way customers know straight away that they are choosing a product of the highest quality.
Innovation in the service of precision
Steinhof is a company that does not stand still.
We are growing dynamically, constantly investing in a state-of-the-art machine park and advanced measurement systems. Our in-house quality control department consists of qualified staff holding certified, international qualifications in the field of non-destructive testing (NDT). The inspectors closely observe welded joints based on the principles of visual testing (VT).
Brake pads
– process control
Steinhof brake pads are produced on a modern, fully automated line comprising several dozen presses with a pressing force of up to 800 tonnes. Every stage is monitored in our in-house laboratory and testing centre, which ensures full repeatability and the highest quality.
The inspection covers, among others:
- Friction materials – inspection of raw materials and mixing parameters
representative samples are tested for density, coefficient of friction, wear, compressibility, hardness and resistance to high temperature and humidity (ISO and ECE R90 standards) -
Bonding
inspection of the continuity and thickness of the adhesive layer -
Pressing
measurement of pressure, pressing time and mould temperature -
Heat treatment
measurement of temperature and the heat-treatment cycle -
Finishing
checking the paint coating and dimensions after the painting and grinding process
The Steinhof laboratory is equipped with advanced test stands, including: an inertia test stand for simulating real braking conditions, stands for testing friction characteristics in accordance with ECE R90, a tribotester, a strength testing machine, a hardness tester and a climatic chamber.
Each brake pad is marked with a part number, a friction material code, a type-approval number and a production batch. The packaging contains, among other things, the manufacturer's name, the part number, the type-approval number, the application and the number of pieces, and is protected against tampering with a special seal.
Automation and multi-stage inspection of tow bars
Modern production at Steinhof is a synthesis of human knowledge and robotics. We have a state-of-the-art, automated production cell. Our inspection process is multi-level:
